We’re proud to introduce you to Associate Clare Freeman.
Clare interned at Sendero during the summer of 2021 before joining full-time at our Dallas office in 2022. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in business management. Clare has experience in the healthcare industry, with an emphasis on technology testing and project management.
We sat down with Clare to ask her about her experience at Sendero.
What led you to Sendero?
I first heard about Sendero through the career fair at A&M. Then, the summer before my senior year of college, I had the opportunity to intern at Sendero. I loved the program, and that’s what led me to work here full-time! As a company where I could grow both professionally and personally in my career, I knew that Sendero would be the best fit for what I was looking for in a first job.
What stands out to you about Sendero?
The culture! My favorite things about Sendero are the people and the values that everyone in this company lives by. I love getting to work with people I can have fun with while we do meaningful work.
What has been your favorite part about being a consultant?
My favorite part of being a consultant is getting the opportunity to make a difference for the client and add value to the spaces that I work in. I’ve also enjoyed getting to build relationships with clients and get a glimpse into their lives and work.
Tell us about a recent project.
Most recently, I’ve been working in a QA role for my project. My biggest responsibilities include creating and documenting test scenarios, and then tracking and reporting the test results. This phase of the project will help ensure that our clients are able to deploy technology upgrades that function properly for the end users.
Can you share a lesson that you’ve recently learned from a coworker?
Something I’ve learned from a coworker is to be confident. When you are confident, you are able to step outside of your comfort zone and that is where true growth happens, both professionally and personally.
If you could give your college self one piece of advice, knowing what you know now, what would it be?
Life moves so fast! I would advise myself to take in every moment and enjoy the times that I have been given. I’d also remind myself to work hard for my goals because, in the end, it will be worth it.
Who inspires you?
My friends inspire me. I love getting to watch them work hard to pursue their dreams. At the same time, my friends push me to be the best version of myself and encourage me to take on new challenges.
Describe your idea of a perfect day.
My ideal day would involve cool autumn weather (as opposed to the chilly February season we’re experiencing right now!). I would wake up, get an iced coffee, read for a little bit, and then go play pickleball with friends. Next, I would go to lunch with all my girlfriends and then shop around. Then, I would end the day with a fun dinner with family or friends!
First concert? Best concert?
The first concert that I went to was Justin Bieber when I was in eighth grade with my best friend and our moms. My favorite concert that I have been to was to see Ben Rector in Austin – He was such a fun performer!
