What the client needed to achieve

An electric utility company needed to consolidate multiple digital workspace platforms into a single, cost-effective solution. After selecting a new digital workplace platform, the company engaged Sendero to lead the implementation of its mobile device management (MDM) component—an enterprise application designed to securely manage and store mobile apps.

The rollout had to support more than 2,500 mobile users, including contractors using personal devices. Complicating matters further, the COVID-19 pandemic eliminated the option for on-site support. Sendero was tasked with delivering a fully remote implementation plan that would ensure adoption and minimize disruption.

Sendero collaborated with client stakeholders, the software vendor, and internal technology teams to plan and execute a fully remote implementation.

Highlights:

• Assessed the new MDM solution across device types to identify key differences and user support needs
• Developed user-friendly training materials, including step-by-step guides and how-to videos
• Piloted the rollout with small user groups, gathering feedback and refining materials before the enterprise-wide launch
• Executed the migration in weekly waves, providing virtual office hours and live Webex support sessions for each group
• Partnered with the Help Desk team to ensure a smooth transition from project hypercare to long-term support
