What led you to Sendero?

I was drawn to Sendero because I wanted to work for a company that truly values community service. I believe we all have a responsibility to give back to the communities we live in because they shape who we are and make us stronger together. What stood out to me about Sendero was its commitment to supporting nonprofits and using its expertise to create meaningful impact. We are all fortunate to have unique skills and talents, and while it’s rewarding to apply them to help our clients succeed, it’s even more fulfilling to use them to uplift and empower those in need. I firmly believe that if we are afforded opportunities to grow and succeed, we should pay it forward by helping others along the way. Being part of a company that shares this philosophy makes the work even more meaningful.

What stands out to you about Sendero?

What stands out about Sendero is our deep commitment to creating a positive, long-term impact for both our clients and communities. Sendero’s collaborative, values-driven culture fosters a strong sense of purpose, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions across industries. With a high-performing team and a client-centric approach, Sendero empowers businesses to navigate change while supporting charitable efforts. Our entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to continuous growth make us a standout firm in the consulting industry.

What has been your favorite part about being a consultant?

My favorite part of being a consultant is building relationships with clients and helping them solve complex challenges by identifying root causes. Consulting is more than just problem-solving, it’s about bringing fresh perspectives, uncovering true issues, and driving meaningful change.

We serve as strategic advisors, adapting to different industries, collaborating across teams, and delivering tailored solutions. The most rewarding part is seeing the direct impact of our work—whether it’s streamlining a process, implementing a system, or guiding an organization through transformation. The combination of problem-solving, continuous learning, and strong client partnerships is what makes consulting so fulfilling for me.

What industries have you worked in?

Throughout my career, I have worked across media and advertising, connectivity and mobility services, cybersecurity, investment banking, finance, healthcare, and hospitality. Each industry has presented unique challenges, requiring me to adapt quickly, think strategically, and develop tailored solutions to complex problems. In media and advertising, I focused on sales and marketing strategies, while in connectivity and mobility services, I worked on optimizing internet and telecom solutions. My experience in cybersecurity involved strengthening security measures and risk mitigation, and in investment banking and finance, I streamlined operations and optimized financial processes. In healthcare, I supported initiatives to improve patient care and operational efficiency, while in hospitality, I enhanced customer experience and service delivery.

Working across these industries has made my skill set highly transferable, allowing me to approach problems from multiple perspectives, navigate different business environments, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. The ability to analyze challenges, adapt to new industries, and drive meaningful change is what makes me a strong and well-rounded consultant.

Most successful projects are the result of exceptional teamwork. How has your time at Sendero shaped the way you approach being a team member and leader?

My time at Sendero has reinforced the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and leading with purpose. Being part of a team that values shared success has shaped the way I approach both teamwork and leadership. I’ve learned that the best results come from leveraging diverse perspectives, fostering open communication, and ensuring that every team member feels heard and empowered.

As a team member, I prioritize active listening, accountability, and offering support where it’s needed most. As a leader, I focus on creating an environment where others can grow, contribute, and succeed together. Sendero’s culture has shown me that great leadership isn’t just about directing—it’s about inspiring, mentoring, and bringing out the best in those around you.

What has your experience been with our company culture?

From the very first interaction I had with Sendero, I knew this company was different. My journey began with a conversation with the recruiting team, and right away, I could feel the energy, passion, and authenticity that set Sendero apart. That initial call wasn’t just about my experience and skills, it was about values.

As I moved through the interview process, I met with three managers and a Managing Director, and each of them spoke about Sendero’s core values: passion, integrity, respect, higher-reaching, and shared success. It wasn’t just words, they embodied these values in how they spoke, how they carried themselves, and how they viewed their work.

Then came onboarding, where the Learning and Development team reinforced these same values, weaving them into every lesson and training. By the end of that week, I had the opportunity to introduce myself to our CEO, and once again, the conversation circled back to our core values. I even ran into our COO in the hallway, and guess what? More conversations about the guiding principles that shape everything we do.

Nine interactions in, and I realized something powerful—Sendero’s culture isn’t just something we talk about; it’s something we live. It runs through the veins of this company, from leadership to new hires, from client work to community service. It’s why we are confident in the solutions we provide and why our clients trust us. Our success, whether in business, in our communities, or in our personal lives—stems from the fact that we lead with passion, act with integrity, treat others with respect, push ourselves to reach higher, and believe in shared success.

At Sendero, we don’t just have a culture—we are our culture. And that’s what makes this company truly special.

What Sendero resources or programs have had the most impact on your career growth?

One of the most impactful programs for me has been Sendero’s Community Rock program. Community Rocks provide an incredible opportunity to offer pro bono consulting support to nonprofit organizations. These projects allow us to apply our expertise beyond our day-to-day client work and make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

Participating in this program has been invaluable to my growth at Sendero. Some key benefits include:

  • Expanding my network by collaborating with Senderoans across different teams and strengthening community connections.
  • Gaining experience in new industries by working with diverse nonprofit organizations.
  • Developing new skills through exposure to different project roles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Enhancing teamwork and leadership abilities by working alongside a leveraged team.

These experiences have directly impacted my career by presenting new challenges that push me to think critically, develop customized solutions, and adapt to different ways of working. The opportunity to give back while growing professionally is what makes the program so rewarding.

What are you looking forward to in the next year, both professionally and personally?

In the next year, I am excited to continue growing with Sendero, taking on new challenges, and expanding my skill set. I look forward to being part of a team that is driven by a shared purpose and vision, where I can contribute meaningfully to the company’s success and impact. One of the things I’m most excited about is mentoring those coming behind me, sharing my experiences, and helping others navigate their own career journeys. Personally, I’m looking forward to continued learning, building strong relationships, and finding new ways to give back to the community.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone interested in becoming a consultant, what would it be?

Don’t underestimate the value of your experiences—they are your greatest asset as a consultant. Your unique background and perspective will shape the way you approach problems and develop solutions. Being able to look at challenges through different lenses is what drives innovation and helps solve complex issues.

At Sendero, I’ve seen firsthand how diverse skill sets and ways of thinking contribute to our success. The best consultants are adaptable, open-minded, and confident in the expertise they bring to the table. Embrace your experiences, stay curious, and always be willing to learn—because that’s what makes great consultants.
