This week, we are proud to share Liya Getachew’s story.
Liya joined Sendero as an Analyst in our Dallas office in 2014. In her time at Sendero, Liya has led projects in the Healthcare, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Construction spaces. Liya also currently serves on the Advisory Board for Sendero’s internal committees.
We sat down with Liya to learn what it means to be a Senior Manager at Sendero.
What led you to Sendero?
I was at a point in my career when I wanted to take on new challenges. I wanted to be in an environment where I would be more directly connected to management and have a bigger impact. I also wanted a more hands-on relationship with clients where I could help them succeed.
What stands out to you about Sendero?
The supportive work environment. I love how our culture honors our different teams and creates a collaborative space for us to thrive. Our leadership team inspires me and encourages me to reach for more. The Career Advisory program also stands out as an acknowledgment that each team member is different and that the company cares about each one of us. I am grateful to have an advisor who understands my goals, aspirations, and opportunities.
What has been your favorite part about being a consultant? What about being a Senior Manager?
My favorite part of being a consultant is collaborating and working with clients to help solve problems, no matter how big or small. It’s in this problem solving that I get my energy and satisfaction of knowing I was able to help a client reach their goal. I love seeing the impact that comes from working together.
My favorite part of being a Senior Manager is mentoring and coaching others. When I make an impact on someone’s growth, I know it will have a ripple effect and that those I mentor will mentor others one day.
