THE CHALLENGE
As the result of recent growth and the desire to modernize their software capabilities, Veritex Community Bank decided to upgrade their HCM system. A more robust workforce management platform would allow the company to access real-time insights and current HR data, two enhancements the organization had been looking forward to. Additionally, the new system would reduce the need for manual processes and workarounds required to complete tasks within the legacy system.
Because the bank’s HR department operates with a lean team, they decided to partner with Sendero to select and implement a new HCM system.
OUR APPROACH
The Sendero team adopted a comprehensive, phased approach to solution selection to identify the best option for the bank. By leveraging Sendero’s team to complete research into 22 potential vendors, manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for priority options, and facilitate demos for the final two candidates, Veritex’s HR team was able to continue their day-to-day operational roles while focusing on key responsibilities within the project.
After selecting Dayforce as their new HCM solution, Veritex engaged Sendero to serve as a client advocate and project management team. Working closely with the implementation and HR teams, Sendero led the HCM system implementation process through five key phases: initiation, modeling, user acceptance testing, parallel testing, and user experience. Throughout each phase, the Veritex team was able to rely on Sendero to facilitate seamless communication, scheduling, deliverable creation, review, and issue resolution with the implementation team. Sendero’s primary goal was to ensure a smooth transition from the client’s previous HCM system to Dayforce, minimizing disruptions to daily operations and enhancing the employee experience.
