Congratulations, you’ve just accepted your offer at Sendero!
Now, you may be asking yourself – what’s next? Am I going to be put on a client project on my first day? How do I “consult”?
Fortunately for you, Sendero has an entire department – the Learning and Development (L&D) team – dedicated to answering those questions and more. Our goal for every college new hire group is this: prepare a group of individuals from varying backgrounds to become phenomenal consultants. Consulting is a challenging career, but by laying the proper foundation, we are able to set our consultants up for success.
Every new hire goes through at least two weeks of dedicated training before being made available for a consulting project. On the surface, the training covers the who, what, and how of Sendero and consulting, but the more informal parts of onboarding may be just as impactful as the formal content. Let’s dive in!
THE WHO
One of the first questions we’ll answer is “who?”. Who are these people in my start group? Who are these overly excited facilitators? And most importantly, who is Sendero?
Sure, you’ve read through our pages about Practice Areas, Industries, and gotten lost in our blogs, but there’s still so much to learn about Sendero’s story.
We’ll talk about how Sendero came to be (would you start a company with 1-year old triplets and a toddler?), who makes up different departments at Sendero, and the values, mindset, and goals that make us who we are.
