This week, we are proud to share Gustavo’s story.
Gustavo San Roman joined Sendero in our Dallas office in 2022. Prior to that, Gustavo studied international business at the University of Texas at Austin. As a consulting analyst, he has worked in industries such as healthcare and utilities, and has experience in project management, change management, and data and analytics.
What led you to Sendero?
I found Sendero through the University of Texas McCombs Business School career fair. It was really nice to meet people in the consulting industry who were as approachable as the Senderoans were, especially from my perspective as a college junior with no previous experience, but interest in that line of work. I truly enjoyed my interviews as well–it felt like I was just speaking to people who wanted to get to know me. It was more than clear that Sendero’s culture is what drew me to the company!
What stands out to you about Sendero?
I would say how involved everyone is. From committees to Community Rocks, it’s refreshing to see my coworkers allocating time to contribute to internal events or volunteer work within our community. Additionally, everyone makes an effort to get to know each other, and that was something that I really hoped I would find after leaving college.
What has been your favorite part about being a consultant?
There are two things that really stand out to me about consulting. The first is the idea of diving into a project and learning as much as you can about your client and their industry. Secondly, there’s an opportunity to meet amazing people who have years of experience to learn from and to build relationships with them. The combination of learning while building relationships is what the world revolves around, so I’ve enjoyed experiencing that in my first years as a consultant.
What industries have you worked in?
I have worked with clients in healthcare and utilities, in addition to a pro bono client in education as a part of a Community Rock.
